Overview
GTAdle is a fan-made guessing site. You can play without an account. If you choose to log in with Discord, some gameplay and leaderboard data is stored on our cloud database so scores can sync across devices and appear on the public leaderboard.
Playing without an account
When you are not signed in, game progress, streaks, tutorials, and preferences stay in your browser using localStorage and sessionStorage. That anonymous progress is not uploaded to our servers and is not merged into an account if you later sign in.
Optional Discord sign-in
Sign-in is optional and uses Discord OAuth. When you connect Discord, we may receive information Discord provides for your login session, such as your Discord user ID, display name or global name, username, avatar URL, and (if Discord grants it) an email address used for authentication.
We use that information to create or update your GTAdle profile, keep you signed in, and show your name and avatar on the leaderboard and profile UI.
What we store in the cloud when you are signed in
If you play dailies while logged in, we may store:
- Profile details (Discord ID, display name, username, avatar URL, last seen time)
- Daily results and leaderboard points for the modes you finish (including whether you passed or failed, points awarded, and related streak / completion counters)
- Best streaks and related stats used on your profile and rankings
Leaderboard rankings are visible to other players. They show your display name, avatar, points, and mode breakdowns derived from your daily results.
Shared daily answers
To keep daily challenges consistent for everyone, the site stores the official daily answer IDs (and related display metadata) for recent days in our database. Those rows identify the puzzle answers for each day and mode; they are not your personal play history.
What stays on your device when signed in
Even when signed in, your browser still stores local progress and preferences. Account gameplay saves are scoped to your signed-in user on that device so they stay separate from anonymous browser progress.
Third-party services
GTAdle relies on:
- Discord, for optional authentication
- Our hosted authentication and database provider, for login sessions and cloud storage
- Google Fonts, to load site fonts
Those services process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use browser storage (and auth session storage managed by our login provider) needed to run the games, remember preferences, and keep optional login sessions. We do not use advertising trackers.
How to delete or disconnect data
You can clear this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings to remove local GTAdle storage. You can sign out of GTAdle and revoke GTAdle’s access in your Discord authorized apps settings to disconnect Discord login.
To request deletion of cloud profile, stats, or leaderboard data tied to your Discord account, contact the site operator through the same Discord account you use to sign in (or another channel listed on the site if one is provided later).

This policy may be updated as GTAdle changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
